It's definitely been a bit of a busy time with the past few shows that I've been to. Only a few days after I was taking photos of The 1975, I end up in something almost completely different with Post Malone. Opening up for Post Malone was Toronto's Jazz Cartier, and he definitely threw down a great set. Incredible stage presence, and crowd interaction--a seriously amazing time watching him perform.
As Post Malone was getting ready to the room still tingled with energy from Jazz Cartier's set. The crowd occasionally chanting out "Post Malone" hoping to get his set started sooner rather than later. With due time he took the stage and the entire place just erupts in screaming and the show goes on. Taking a brief moment to acknowledge the passing of A$AP Yams and Bankroll Fresh, he continued on with his set smiling, and shaking the hands of everyone up front. Between every song taking the time to acknowledge those who came and who support him.
My time here was something that I had never actually experienced before. A lot of the shows that I had been to before this one didn't have the energy this one did, or that interaction between the artist and the crowd. It's something I had seen from the back of the crowd before, but never this close and it was incredible seeing how into the music everyone was. The room never calmed down and the entire night was just an incredible experience--something that you have to experience.
